Shamshera Movie is an upcoming Hindi movie which was Scheduled to release on June 25, 2021. But Shamshera Movie is not released yet. This film is directed by Karan Malhotra. And it will feature Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor as lead characters..

Shamshera movie set in pre-independence India in the 1800s, the film is an Indian adaption of Howard Pyle’s “Merry Adventures of Robin Hood “.

Shamshera Movie is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language period action drama film set in the 1800s and dacoit tribe who took charge in the fight for their rights and freedoms against the British.

Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor in a double role, with Vaani Kapoor as a dancer and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist.

The filming of Shamshera Movie started in December 2018 and was initially completed in January 2022. The studio required additional footage, but the COVID-19 pandemic in India delayed filming. Production resumed in August 2020 and filming was completed. The film was scheduled to release on 25 June 2021, but again the date was postponed.

The story of Shamshera Movie

shamshera is a Bollywood action-adventure period drama starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. it is produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films . The film is being written and directed by Karan Malhotra.

Set in the 1800s, the film is about a dacoit tribe who fought for their rights and freedoms against the British. Ranbir Kapoor is playing a duel role as the central character Shamshera an his Father.

Vaani Kapoor plays the role of Adarshine, a dancer , who is Shamshera‘s girlfriends. It is an action adventure film. She pushes her boundaries as an artist as she undergoes professional in the Kathak for the film.

There is a lot of curiosity about the film and now, the actor himself has given a big information about the film. Viewers are eager to know more and more about the film. Shamshera in Hindi means sword and word means dacoit.

A group of people who are involved in criminal activities such a robbery. Recently speaking to Republic World, Ranbir revealed that Shamshera is an amazing action, thriller, adventure film set in 1800. It is about a bandit tribe and their fight against the British for the justice they deserve.

When asked why he took a film like Shamshera, the said, “Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. Growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should do.

The actor said, “Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it is a very exciting project for Petha. Karan has been pushing me completely out of my comfort zone. And i look forward to this challenge. ” The former will play the lead antagonist in the film. Explaining his decision to cast Sanjay Dutt as the Villainous.

Filmmaker Karan Malhotra said, “Shamshera is an extremely cruel and fearless character in the film. So his nemesis villain had to age and be monumental in every aspect. Who better than Sanjay sir to make such an impact on the screen to us? Maybe. This is the first time Ranbir will be seen playing a double in his career.

Release date

Originally planned for cinema release on 31 July 2020, Shamshera was later on highly delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was then rescheduled to 25 June 2021, but due to the second wave of pandemic, the release was postponed to 18 March 2022, that once again got deferred due to Omicron variant spread. Now, it will finally release in worldwide cinemas on 22 July 2022.
